Eclipse, formerly known as Yama, is a seven-member boy group with Lex, Dean, Gilly, Clyde, Rave, Gab and Joshuel. Eclipse is Merlion Entertainment’s pioneer boy group. Most members of Eclipse competed in the P-pop survival reality show, “Top Class: The Rise to P-pop Stardom”, aired on TV5, from June-August 2022, hosted by Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray, Asia’s Soul Supreme, KZ Tandingan, Pinoy Rap Phenom, Shanti Dope and the World Class Choreographer, Brian Puspos. Three of Eclipse’s members, Lex, Gilly and Dean were hailed as the grand winners.Their new name, ECLIPSE, signifies how the group is embracing these transitions, like the meeting of the moon and the sun at a special moment. The group wants to deliver hope and positive messages through music. Their songs aim to combine the positive energy of the sun, while merging with the soulful and heartfelt spirit of the moon.
